Training and Support
Because we do not require our teachers to come in with prior teaching experience, we offer training and support designed to provide our teachers with a strong foundation before they even step into the classroom. During the semester, our teachers receive one-on-one and team feedback every week to discuss further ways to motivate our students to excel.
Training Seminars
We’ve partnered with representatives from Teach for America and the Penn Graduate School of Education to provide a crash course on teaching in underserved schools. This takes place prior to the start of classes. This is intended to set our teachers up for success from day one.
Discussion Debriefs
Throughout the semester, we will check up on our teachers every week to talk about both the progress they’ve made and the difficulties that they’ve encountered. The teachers will also meet in teams to share ideas with and learn from each other. We think that the synergy of learning in a group will contribute to our teachers’ success.
